1. How do I contact the Mayor or another Town Council member?

You may contact Town Hall at (760) 369-7207 or e-mail: townclerk . Council members do not have individual e-mail accounts due to public records requirements.

2. What is the difference between a “City” and a “Town?”

There is no difference between a city and a town in the State of California. When Yucca Valley incorporated the residents chose to be known as a town to reflect the rural atmosphere.

3. Where did the name Yucca Valley come from?

In 1915 the area was named for the Yucca Brevifolia, the Joshua Tree.
