The Community Services Department schedules monthly bus trips for adults and seniors to exciting and interesting destinations throughout the region. The scheduled trips are listed below. Additional information is available by contacting the department office at (760) 369-7211 or by downloading the current activity guide from this site.

 


Senior Activities

Wii Bowling
Join the fun of bowling in a "virtual" bowling alley! This easy to learn video game is a great way to meet new people! There are several sessions to choose from.

Wednesdays: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. & 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Thursdays: 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
& 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Senior Spring Luau Dance
Live music by Sophisticated Swing

Cost: $3 for 55 and over or $5 per person if under 55

San Manuel Bingo & Casino
Wednesday, February 24
8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Play BINGO and other casino games during your 5- hour stay. Each person will receive $30 FREE PLAY with a Serrano Club Card. Bring a valid California ID to receive the slot play. There are several dining choices available at the casino (on your own.)

Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum
Wednesday, March 24
7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
 A guided tour including several points of interest is the highlight of this excursion Experience a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, go inside a retired Air Force One airplane, and see thousands of gifts the President and Mrs. Reagan received during his administration.

A gourmet, presidential boxed lunch is included: Black forest ham sandwich, served on a fresh baguette, with muenster cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and fresh pesto mayonnaise on the side. Also includes fresh potato salad, fresh fruit salad, and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie (President Reagan's favorite) and coffee, soda or bottled water.

The Gamble House and Historic Pasadena
Wednesday, April 21
7:30 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
Begin the day with a guided tour of Pasadena, including Millionaire's Row, Colorado Blvd, Route 66, the Prospect District and the Rose Bowl neighborhood. Lunch (included) is next with a stop at Souplantation. With full bellies, it off to the Gamble House for an afternoon tour. The docent-led tour will explain beautiful woodwork, leaded glass and original furnishings.

Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Laguna Beach
Wednesday, May 26
7:15 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The day begins with a delectible brunch at Las Brisas Restaurant. Next, its off to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center for a guided tour. This amazing non-profit organization is a rescue and rehabilitation center for stranded or injured marine mammals. There will be time to browse the dhops in downtown Laguna before returning home.

Queen Mary and Shoreline Village- Long Beach
Trip includes a guided tour through special rooms on the vessel, sharing some interesting and spooky history. Next is a stop at Shorline Village for lunch and shopping on your own.
